November 29, 2009 Hi everybody, thanks again for coming by. Not a lot is happening on the game front, a couple of boxes have made it to me, more destined to, but with the power off till Monday (sucks) things at the Shop are kind of crawling. More accessories are coming in and the fun will be restored (along with the power) quite soon. SMT Games & Computers will live on! I am experimenting with some different suppliers, so I may have some weird and off-the-wall type things which always serves to shake things up. Also, so far as I can tell, Super Mega Turbo will be the exclusive distributor of the Hyperkin GenMobile, all officially licensed and loaded with really great games, ready to play! I also have a separate charger for it. Makes a great bundle package. As for the GenMobile, some of the following accessories are being... worked on:
Let me ask you all, would a dedicated Atari 2600 emulation computer be of interest? Not a mod of a Flashback 2, but a dedicated computer that comes complete with controllers and emulator in a desktop form factor PC? I will have to ask this in the forums. Check the Discussions link up top. November 21, 2009 Hi everyone, and thanks for coming by. It's been a very eventful month and lots of things are changing. Firstly the page here may seem a bit different. No worries, all the great links are still here, just on a sub-page to your left in the navigation bar. On this main page will be news and goings on that are most recent, and then it will be set in the SMT2 page as an update, as the site gets updated with a date and whatever news is there. This time here, I'd like to tell a bit about the store and what it's all about, why I run it. Super Mega Turbo is a grass roots movement, more of a for the people entity than a business any day. Making money is really a secondary goal (though it must remain a goal unfortunately) to having a good time, getting as many people into retro gaming (and zombies) as possible. My youtube videos are still up and I'll keep making them, and they will stay the same-- no professional looking productions, those have their place and since I've never been a movie-man I don't see the need to make a big production out of them-- work and effort like that ruins the fun for me, and I like to keep it real. There is a store and I do have bills to pay, so I'll always be offering repair service and have cool stuff for sale. This week's featured item is a piece of Atari cardboard! Yes, it's an actual piece of cardboard with the Fuji logo on it, straight from the Atari printers! This is how dedicated I am to keeping it real :) Seriously, if a really rare or unique piece of hardware comes in, it will definitely be on display. Speaking of which... Right now I am working on a Tektronix 4052 computer. It has a few issues but it's a classic piece of hardware from 1977, state of the art in its day. It'll be there for as long as I need to repair it, but then it goes to The Vault. It has BASIC in a rom and I want to port some games to it. It is technically a 16-bit computer, but it's done in an odd way-- split up between FOUR processors. I urge you to look it up, it's a fascinating way to run a computer. Plus it was used as a set prop in the original Battlestar Galactica show! Right now I can only be open by appointment, which sucks, but I can definitely do those appointments. It's all part of the restructuring and not much I can do about it. That's it for now, sorry to not be as informative as I like to be but with everything up in the air like it is, I can't really say much. If you'd like to contact me, I can be PM'd here or my email is nathanDOTTdkassandra4(ATAT)gmailDOTTcom(filtered for spammers) Till next time, play and have fun! |

The old school never really gets old, it gets homebrews. All kinds of hardware, software and of course it'll all need repairing at som point. Atari computers, Commodores, heck even the old arcade machines to a point (don't have high voltage equipment). Also, parts are never a problem, just have to make the order.
Has everyone seen these different things: Legacy Engineering USB CX-40 joystick Hyperkin-AtGames portable Mega Drive ??? The MD is going to be available soon, but the USB joysticks are already out. I have two of them, and they are totally moddable! Both of these **right now** are a bit obscure but will make the legendary collectible so if you can get them (the USB joystick is no longer available, but there are conversion boards still for sale) do it, you won't regret either purchase. Also, Classic Video Game Magazine #2 is about to ship, and you can still order. Look for a link above. A great publication that I personally write for. Everything you ever wanted to know about classic gaming, the homebrew scene and all kinds of stuff related to classic gaming. Lastly, let me apologize for not updating or posting for such a long time, times are very hectic and there's a TON of stuff to do all over the place in real life and online. Nathan |

Hiya guys,
It's the first thread, so pretty much anything goes. If you are on any forums, the same rules about flaming, spamming, etc., apply here. Let's play nice. Oh, and "let's light 'em up" is a reference to start firing heavy artillery, nothing else, lol. |
